Vegetal Joints on Landscape 1st

The GHISELLINI ARCHITETTI redevelopment, redesign and expansion of the municipal cemetery of Pieve Fissiraga, a small town in the province of Lodi (northern Italy), is on the web pages of LANDSCAPE 1ST, the prestigious international magazine fully dedicated to landscape architecture and design.

The construction, which lasted over two years, involved a series of delicate restoration, replacement and integration actions of the original architectural and plant structures.

A cemetery conceived as a non-cemetery-like place

The project has completely redesigned the artificial landscape of the cemetery redefining it into a place of emotional quality for certain “compensation” towards pain.
