GA selected for Hyper-Regionalism Exhibition

From 24 to 26 October 2024, AIAC, the Italian Association of Architecture and Criticism, the Municipality of Lecce, the Polo Biblio-Museale of Lecce, in collaboration with the Order of Architects P.P.C. of Lecce, present the thirteenth edition of the Architects meet Event which will have its new location in the capital of Salento.

This year’s theme is HyperRegionalism, materiality and immateriality of Architecture that investigates a recent phenomenon: to an architecture without a soul, the same in all places, today we try to counterpose spaces that are rooted and recognizable. Works in which matter plays a leading role, recovering the largest and most significant fragments of pre-existing structures for construction. The new architecture is thus enhanced by the complexity of its stratifications and the recovery of materials from the past. At the same time, we try to avoid rhetoric and vernacular and we are aware that new buildings must respect high standards of comfort and energy efficiency, that is, they must be crossed by the immaterial flows of contemporaneity.

a Hyper-Regionalism in which old materialities and new immaterialities alternate, contrast and complete each other

GHISELLINI ARCHITETTI has been selected for the Hyper-Regionalism Exhibition, at the Church of Santa Maria di Ogni Bene, which recounts, with the exhibition of author books, innovative projects and creations by Italian architectural studios, with the installation curated by Riat Archidecor.
